Ritalin

18/08/2017 | | 25moderated by Henry
methylphenidate hydrochloride (20mg) for attention deficit disorder (ADD)

After being diagnosed with ADD started on Ritalin. It certainly helps in the morning with getting myself together and I think I'm less quick to anger with my concentration problems, although I don't actually think my concentration has improved at all. 5 or 6 other problems that go alongside ADD are not treated by Ritalin. So I have also got a high heart rate (120/130 at rest). Physically a really unsettled feeling, tension and stiff muscles. Mentally it might help a bit but physically not so much. On the advice of the GP and her psychologist, switched to Dexamphetamine.
