After a few years on metformine (2 x 1000) I was given Trajenta as well and it's working really well. Also gradually lost weight (which never happened with metformine!). It is additional to not instead of metformine. Now live abroad and have to pay for this medicine myself and I can really see the difference: metformine costs me about €1.95 and trajenta €59.95!!! But...once the patent expires it will definitely become cheaper but until then I'm going to have to pay this price. After all, my health is certainly worth it.
