Prescribed by the cardiologist alongside Crestor (I can manage 5 mg fine, as opposed to simvastatin) to get my cholesterol even lower. Was 2.1 but needed to get to 1.8 or lower. After about one week I started getting headaches day and night and I've been dizzy since this evening as well as having stomach ache and feeling sick. I've decided to stop taking this medicine. I believe quality of life...

I was given this pill as a supplement to my main cholesterol suppressant Zocor which was later replaced by Crestor. (see my experiences about that). Seems to work. No noticeable side effects. Great little pill.

After just a few days I started getting muscle pain and the pain in my joints got worse with use, it felt like my joints had no lubrication and they starting cracking and popping, really painful joints (pelvis, knees, shoulders, feet which meant I couldn't work) as a result. Doctors didn't accept what I was saying and I had to have all manner of test to prove that there was nothing wrong with ...

For me this had absolutely no effect whatsoever on my cholesterol. I'm not taking it any more and I've got no more problems with any of the side effects (diarrhoea, fatigue, dizzy).

After having an angioplasty in 2005, the cardiologist prescribed first Lipitor and then simvastatin. It gave me terrible muscle cramps and pain, so much so that after a few years I stopped taking it completely. I haven't wanted to take any cholesterol-reducing medicines for 4 years now. My LDL, without medication, was 2.7. My cardiologist then prescribed me Ezetrol 10 mg, just to try it. After ...

Muscle pain. I've used this before and stopped because of the muscle pain and cramps. I tried it again this week and had the same problems so I stopped again. All statins have these side effects if you are prone to them.

I have just been prescribed Ezetrol 10 mg. Apparently you are supposed have fewer problems with it. But reading these stories makes me not so sure. Tried all kinds of other sorts (simvastatin, rousuvastatin) and had problems with all of them. I've heard that if you take Q10 with it then you have fewer problems. Has any one got any experience of this?

My cholesterol went up instead of down even though it was measured twice. I stopped taking tablets myself and return them to the Pharmacy. I now take atorvastatin 40 mg and hemp oil with cumin oil and not oil. I'm curious. I've been using these oils since May 2016.

Since I've been using ezetrol, I've really suffered with my muscles and joints, I've put on 20 kg and I'm a wreck.

I started taking this today. Because my cholesterol is 7.5. Took statins before. But stopped taking them because they were giving me awful muscle pains. I've got MS and I don't need that as well. My cardiologist says that there aren't any statins in this medicine. And few side effects. But reading here, I can see that this medicine can give you quite a few side effects actually. Grr! So dishear...

Been taking this now for about 10 years. Essentially have no side effects. When I don't take it my cholesterol levels get pretty high. On the other hand, when I to take it then my levels are well below the norm. I am actually looking for another medicine to keep my levels even but I am afraid of the side effects of statins.
